Made from reeds, the Flack Wackers have a different look than the other "wands" commonly used. The mottled reeds give the Flack Wackers an organic vibe while the handles feature some cool artwork I really dig the feel of the plastic coating on the handles. You can tighten or loosen the reed cluster with the O rings. There is a pair of Flack Wackers living in my mallet case these days.

If you were so lucky to be involved in the research and development of the all new Flack Wackers you are probably enjoying the great world beat sounds afforded you through their design team: Mike Flack. After 50 years of playing many genres of music and buying several percussion products on the market since the 1960's - the innovation of these new specialty sticks evolved from a need not met. Mike states: "My stick bag has over 30 types of brushes, wands, sticks, and clubs used to make a noise." But, the sound he seached for had to be invented . . . by himself.

This is a new material which is flexible and adjustable to change your attack focus on hard surfaces like a cymbal or calfskin while each handle can be different from the other in a percussion or drumset setting or combined to expand your palate of sound.
They also come with a refill kit if breakage occurs from using them like a wood stick on a die cast hoop too much.
They are great for rehearsal or church bands in a small setting while trying to control volume.
